The 2015 boys’ lacrosse season is starting to ramp up and so is the recruiting of senior captain Roman Rohrbach.

I’m told that multiple schools have shown significant interest in last season’s fifth leading point scorer in Minnesota, including the Air Force Academy and RIT.

From those I’ve spoken with, one of the leaders for Rohrbach’s services is the Air Force Academy. He is currently waiting to get accepted into the Academy but if accepted, Rohrbach will be granted a spot on the team.

In terms of actual offers, some small schools have submitted offers to the Lakeville North captain and RIT has expressed interest, per source. RIT is widely considered a top Division-III boys’ lacrosse program.

With the spring sports season almost underway, the sooner Rohrbach can make his decision the better for both himself and his team so that he can focus solely on the 2015 Lakeville North boys’ lacrosse season. A year after the Panthers finished fourth in the state, their best finish in program history, they look to improve on their fourth place finish. With the loss of contributors in Ryan Jacques and Alex Shull due to injury, the Panthers will need Rohrbach to lead the way much like he did last year.

By the numbers:

Roman Rohrbach’s 2014 stats

Goals (regular season): 38

Total goals (regular and postseason): 45

Assists (regular season): 20

Assists (postseason): 2

Total points (regular and postseason): 67
