With National Signing day just over a week away, another Lakeville North defender has committed to play collegiate football.
Senior linebacker Dakota Toedter announced via his Twitter account that he had chosen the Northern State Wolfpack.
Proud to announce my commitment to play football at Northern State University. Thanks to everyone who supported me along the way! #Wolfpack

While he may love the game of football, Toedter also prioritized academics when he made his decision.
“The two things that swayed me toward Northern was their outstanding academic program,” Toedter told me. “They ranked first in the conference for a combined team GPA. The other part was the coaches. They are some quality guys and were fired up about the team.”
During his time on the football team at Lakeville North, Toedter played a hybrid role as both a defender with his hand in the ground but also a defender who stood up. The expectation is that he will play linebacker for the Wolfpack and not defensive line.
Toedter also received offers from St. Cloud State, Winona, and Concordia.
